With all the many fine bands there are to choose from in New York, some of my friends were puzzled when I flew a band in all the way from Seattle for my daughter’s wedding. But I had heard the Michael Benson Band play, and from that night on, I knew that when my daughter got married, that band would be my choice. We were able simply to give him a date and some general idea of the music we wanted and leave the rest up to him. The result was a flawless performance, the climax of a day which my daughter said was the best day of her life. I don’t think there is a better recommendation than that. There is certainly no more that a father of the bride could ask of a band”. – May 19, 2018, Father of the Bride.

It’s amazing when we perform how consistently a 20-something venue staff walks up to the stage when we’re done with something like, ”Hey guys, you seriously rocked it. What an incredible job!” Or something like that. Now these kids don’t HAVE to bother saying it but they do, one hundred percent. But couples who wonder how we’d “connect” with a mainly 20-something crowd are missing the boat. As always, the connection is made.

Our new six-piece took wing on April 21st at Seattle’s The Sunset Club with songstress Darelle Holden co-leading vocals with me. It couldn’t have been a smoother flight and the audience roared their approval. Here’s to many good times ahead!

Our September 2nd bride writes to Yelp: “Michael Benson Band was the absolute BEST WEDDING band I have ever seen. He was so incredibly responsive and committed to making our reception perfect. I cannot recommend the band highly enough. Our reception went 20 minutes over because everyone couldn’t stop dancing, and they were there until the last beat”

Gerrie writes on July 18, 2017:
“A wedding reception is really made by the talent and energy provided by the musicians. My wedding was everything I dreamed of and more because of Michael Benson and his fantastic band. The year leading up, they were communicative, accommodating, and were even willing to learn new songs for our first dance and father/daughter dance. At the reception, they interacted with our guests, engaged from the stage, and ultimately rocked the house with their amazing covers. This was one of the best investments made for our wedding. I would give ten stars if I could.” (the latest of 11 reviews that Yelp does not want to recommend)
