Warmth and dignity
Just a quick note to say how very much I appreciate your graciousness & amazing professionalism. You guys are THE BEST! I’ve worked with a few bands at weddings lately and not only do you guys blow them out of the water musically, you just carry yourselves with a warmth and dignity they are sorely lacking. So much ego & attitude & they have nothing to back it up. So thank you guys for being AWESOME & I hope to get to work together lots in 2017! (Shana Tinsley, 321 Foto https://321foto.com)

2017 Best Of Borrowed And Blue
MBB is honored to win the 2017 Best Live Entertainment at Borrowed And Blue Weddings. Vender-voted by our peers, this award comes to us for the second straight year. Many appreciations to all our industry colleagues who know what we do, and who deliver many extraordinary events together with us.
Why.We.Don’t.Do.That.
“Do you plan set lists in advance?” No way. Planning band set-lists ahead of time for moods and crowds you haven’t even felt or seen yet? Nope. That’s a sure-fire recipe for disaster. At social event performances I can’t see why anyone would do that – and Why.We.Don’t.Do.That.Ever. Instead, I free-flow sets dynamically, calling songs moment by moment for optimal crowd connection. Result: Non-stop seamless segues and total success. Every time.

My MC vs. his
I attended a wedding in L.A. with a d.j. and got to sample his emcee style. Why is it so many d.j’s use the “game show host” voice? I’m just sayin – it’s gotta be classy, not schtick. I do my emcee work respectfully and with style. Folks are pleased. No game show hosts on my gigs.

Where do I begin?
Where do I even begin? It has been an absolute pleasure working with you! You were so kind and helpful with all the announcements, the guests absolutely loved you, and you did an amazing job with the dance. I can’t say thank you enough. I hope to work with you again in the future and best of luck as we head into the 2016 season! – Jocelyn, with The Invisible Hostess http://www.theinvisiblehostess.com

One industry pro to another
Image by Greenlight Event Design – Brian Waltz, President
“Michael, it was a pleasure working with your team last weekend. Having seen a lot of other local bands and DJs over the past few years, it really resonated how much MBB connects with the guests and how versatile your brand of entertainment is. MBB stands out to me for many reasons. From being able to play a classy cocktail or dinner set, to being able to sustain the right mix of dance energy for 3+ hours is rare among other forms of entertainment. Being also able to guide the night along with subtle announcements among the sets really helps fill the void from an event missing a dedicated emcee.
I was amazed at the level of energy and passion you guys brought, and that you were able to sustain it until the last song. Your show is worth more than whatever you are charging, raise your rates! From one industry pro to another, I appreciate what you are doing and the quality of your show.”
