Wedding Receptions in Everett

Everett-area weddings run from a historic log hall in Forest Park to a barn on Whidbey Island, and we plan the night around each venue's hours, including the ferry when the party is on the island. A single musician covers the ceremony, and the full band takes over for the reception. See everything that comes with our wedding band.

Everett Venues We Recommend for Live Music

Four Everett rooms we recommend for a live band, followed by three nearby venues in Mukilteo and on Whidbey Island.

APEX

APEX feels like stepping back into the 1920s. The restored 1921 building on Everett Avenue opens into a run of large, distinct rooms, and the Gatsby Room sets the tone with a grand crystal chandelier, velvet curtains, and colorful artwork. On the top floor, Kings Hall is a working concert hall with towering ceilings and its own sound and lighting, so a reception there carries the energy of a night at a show. Couples can book either room or both together, and the smaller Green Room, for up to 40 seated, suits a rehearsal dinner the night before. Wedding vendors who work here describe it as unlike any other venue in the area, and for a band, a room built for live music is hard to beat.

Floral Hall at Forest Park

Floral Hall is a 1939 log hall in Forest Park, and it feels like a lodge tucked into the middle of the city. Peeled cedar logs, hardwood floors, and wood paneling give the room a warm glow, with a fireplace on one side and a raised stage at the south end. The 3,000-square-foot hall seats 200, and couples who have married here say the dance floor fills as soon as the dinner tables are cleared back. Outside, the sunken garden and the park’s trees make for easy photos between dinner and dancing. It is a City of Everett rental with a lot of character, and the stage gives the band a natural home with the dancing right in front of it.

Everett Golf and Country Club

Everett Golf and Country Club has hosted members and their guests since 1910 from its clubhouse on a hill overlooking the city. Inside, it is a classic Northwest room with plenty of exposed wood and chandeliers, the kind of setting that suits a formal evening: a plated dinner, speeches from family, and a dance floor once the coffee is poured. The club’s own kitchen caters everything from a business lunch for eight to a reception for 200. Vendors who have worked here describe attentive staff and a room that feels intimate, especially for a winter wedding held entirely indoors. Membership is private, so non-members will need a member host to book an event.

Everett Yacht Club

The Everett Yacht Club moved into its new clubhouse at the south end of the Port of Everett marina in March 2024, and the setting is all about the water. The main floor opens onto a covered deck with views across the marina, and sunset from the deck is the highlight of an evening reception. Upstairs, a private bar and a smaller room give guests somewhere quieter to talk. Both floors come with the rental, and the clubhouse holds up to 100 people, a count that includes caterers and musicians, so we size the lineup to leave room for your guests. The club does not cater, so you bring in your own caterer. It suits anniversary parties, rehearsal dinners, and smaller receptions where the guest list is close-knit.

Nearby Venues in Mukilteo and on Whidbey Island

We also recommend three venues just outside the city. Rosehill is in neighboring Mukilteo, and the two Whidbey Island farms are a short crossing away on the Washington State Ferries run from Mukilteo to Clinton, about 20 minutes on the water.

Rosehill Community Center, Mukilteo

Rosehill Community Center is all about the view. The Point Elliott Room’s floor-to-ceiling windows look out over Possession Sound to the islands and the Olympic Mountains, with ferries crossing below, and couples say the room is so bright and open it barely needs decorating. It seats 216 at tables, and a wraparound balcony gives guests a place to step outside between sets. Ceremonies can be held outdoors on the Upper Lawn or Lower Plaza before everyone moves inside. The room has a 1,500-square-foot stage that the city’s own rental guide calls a great space for a band, along with built-in speakers and wireless microphones for the toasts. Friday and Saturday events can run until midnight, which leaves time for a long dance set.

Crockett Farm, Coupeville, Whidbey Island

Crockett Farm is a historic farm from 1895 on Ebey’s Reserve in Coupeville, and couples describe their day there as peaceful and a little magical. The ceremony takes place at a driftwood altar looking out over the water, with an indoor option if the weather turns. Receptions for up to 200 happen in the big timber barn, strung with lights, while cocktails move to the lower barn. The farm hosts one wedding a day, May through October, and couples have the property from noon until 10 p.m. Live bands are welcome, and the farm’s team coordinates every vendor, band included. An on-site guesthouse sleeps up to 12.

Fireseed Gardens, Langley, Whidbey Island

Fireseed Gardens feels like a private estate in the Whidbey countryside. Ten pastoral acres outside Langley overlook the Maxwelton Valley and Miller Lake, with manicured gardens for the ceremony and sculptures by Whidbey Island artists set through the grounds. The renovated barn holds a heated and cooled hall that seats 200 for dinner, and right next to it is a lounge with leather couches and an antique bar, so the party can drift between the dance floor and a quieter room. An outdoor bar keeps guests lingering on the grounds in good weather. Couples get the property for three days, the day before to decorate and rehearse and the day after to pack up, and Fireseed caters every event from its own kitchen. Vendors who work here call it smoothly run but relaxed, and one of their favorite rooms for dinner and dancing.

Live Music and Events in Everett

Everett has been putting on shows for well over a century. The Historic Everett Theatre on Colby Avenue opened as the city’s opera house in 1901, Village Theatre stages its Mainstage musicals at the Everett Performing Arts Center, Angel of the Winds Arena brings in the big touring concerts, and every May the Fisherman’s Village Music Festival fills downtown venues with local and touring acts.

That history makes live music a familiar part of a night out here, and a wedding or corporate band has to bring the same sense of energy to a private event.

Much of the city’s social life runs along the Port of Everett, home to what the port calls the largest public marina on the West Coast. Summer brings Sail-In Cinema at Boxcar Park, a seasonal ferry out to Jetty Island, and the farmers market on Wetmore Avenue from May through October. For a couple planning a summer wedding, that calendar gives out-of-town guests plenty to do before the band takes over for the night.

July is usually the driest month here and November the wettest. That pattern shapes the event calendar: outdoor ceremonies through the summer, then company parties indoors once the rain arrives. For a live band, that means being able to fit the room and the occasion while delivering the same polished performance in either setting.
